SK Stables Horsemanship Program offers centered balance riding lessons from the ground up. All students begin by understanding horse behavior and practicing safe horse handling skills that include haltering, leading, grooming, saddle placement, and horse and barn cleanup. After mastering fundamental groundwork, students work horseback on body position, balance and rhythm using either school horses or a horse of their own.

Riding is a very athletic sport and it takes time to master it so you can be a good partner and leader for your horse.  No matter what type of riding you do or want to do, your body placement, balance and rhythm are keys to having fun on your horse.  When you improve your riding ability it always makes for a better ride. 

SK Stables offers lessons in both English and Western.  We trail ride, rope, jump and camp out with our horses.  We show our horses and often encourage our students to show.   We are a full service barn offering board and training, lay-ups, foaling and raising babies.  Our goal is to do what is best for our four-legged friends and to load up on safe fun.
